Performances in Scene 1, Shot 1

I've been working a lot on the performances and setting up the rigs to the characters this past week.

First GIF (for this post). It's really short but it's the caterpillar's wiggle. I've been working a lot on the movements of the characters, especially figuring out the caterpillar movements.

Pictured above is the caterpillar's turn and transition into the chrysalis. It's getting there, I don't think it's spot on to how a real caterpillar gets into a chrysalis, but that should be okay.
Also, the GIF came out pretty bad for some reason, just ignore that.

Character performances!!! I'm actually kind of really satisfied with the movement I put in for the parents. It wasn't originally in my plan because it was just a quick moment, but the more I look at it, the more I really like it. I think it might be the slight movement after the parents have peaked into the room, but I'm not entirely sure.
Also, if it wasn't noticed, I also changed the room color and whatnot, just a small detail for consistency since it was bothering me.
From last week's post, I did accomplish most of the major things in scene 1 shot 1, at least to a satisfying degree. To reiterate:
Change the bedroom (it did not match anymore since it still was the blue background)
Non-bendy caterpillar - it wasn't rotating!
Character face - it was a little wonky and had a two-layer face.
Blob to circle transformation.
So I did change the bedroom, check! I was able to make the caterpillar bend (honestly turned out a lot better than I had thought it would), check! The character's face (here is a comparison):

After

I have unfortunately yet to actually fix the transformation issue (as seen in the third GIF), but for now, I must keep moving forward with more of the character performances.
With that being said, my only goal and progress for next week (maybe) will be character performances in all scenes and shots. If I'm really proactive, I might begin adjusting the backgrounds and performances since my next plan of action after the aforementioned, would be to spruce up the backgrounds (and then the character performances).
Hopefully in a few weeks I will be able to begin finding some royalty free music as well and start the last stages of this all. It's so exciting (yet also stressful), but I'm chugging on through!
